Double your impact by emailing your MP!

Thank you so much for signing the petition and helping us take the issue of peat use direct to Parliament.

Could you take a couple more minutes to boost your impact? Help us get the Government’s attention by emailing your MP and urging them to support the campaign. With just a few clicks you can use our template letter to write to your MP asking them to call on the Environment Secretary, Emma Reynolds, to introduce legislation in 2026.

Emma Reynold’s department (DEFRA) is responsible for making environmental laws. The Environment Secretary takes notice of letters she receives from her colleagues in the House of Commons. Every letter from MPs is another reminder that Government must act on peat sales!

Don’t forget the power of individuals – your MP is your way into Parliament. Remember that customised letters can often be more persuasive, so give it a go! Add your comment to our template letter to encourage your MP to represent you.

No thanks, I'll share instead.

A desolate extraction site. The blue sky is reflected in a large drainage ditch filled with water from the surrounding peatland.
